Aftercare.
Consistency is more effective than method.
It is recommended to take your grillz out to eat, drink and smoke. Anything that goes in your mouth while you have your grillz in will get stuck in the pores on the surface of the metal. Silver oxidises naturally over time so make sure you are taking care of your grillz.
Here some methods I have collected over time
Brush with a soft bristle toothbrush and dish soap liquid under hot water. Buff with an anti-tarnish polishing cloth to maintain the polish.
Bicarbonate soda, boiling water and tin foil for cleaning silver. There are videos of this method online. Then use an anti-tarnish polishing cloth to bring it back to a shine.
For gem stone pieces
Soaking in Bicarbonate soda water for 10 minutes is great for pieces with stones as it can clean in between the gems. If using a toothbrush on these pieces be careful as to not dislodge the gems.
For smokers
Try to avoid smoking with your grillz in as they will go black with smoke stain. Brushing your grillz with toothpaste will strip the smoke stain however this will also strip the polish. Use an anti-tarnish polishing cloth to bring it back to a shine.
Servicing grillz
If you want your grillz to look brand new, contact me and I can reservice them. The cost of this depends on the damage.
